Some of the contributors to this site, have been exploring and photographing the San Bernardino Mountains since the 1960’s. Our mountain wilderness has a lot to offer. We love it here. Hiking, 4-wheeling, nature photography or just walking along the lake shore never gets old.

Big Bear Lake Adventures.com is here to show what our mountains have to offer. We will be constantly adding new trails, or new photographs and information of our favorite places explore, so check back often.

Before you go heading off into the mountains, there are a few precautions. No matter how much equipment that you carry, or what your level of expertise, the most important thing to do before you head out is to let someone know where your going and when you plan to be back.  Also, parking your vehicle anywhere in the San Bernardino Forest requires an Adventure Pass. You can pick one of these up at the San Bernardino Forest Discovery center located off of Highway 38 on the north side of Big Bear lake. While you are there, you will also find a ton of information that will make your own personal excursions into the mountains more enjoyable and safe.
